La Magdalena Workshops at Anda Flamenco

Magdalena is best known for her intense, traditional style, which focuses on the musicality, grace, power and rhythm of Flamenco. She inspires students and audiences alike, sharing her first-hand experiences in Spain with the cross-cultural communities of the U.S.

Flamenco Rhythm & Structure Demystified

This class is NOT JUST FOR DANCERS – it’s is also for boyfriends of dancers, guitarists, percussionists, and anyone else who’s interested in the essence of flamenco! The class will explore how performers communicate with each other using the compás. There will be problem solving for the more experienced, and for everyone, both Q/A and a chance to practice palmas (hand-clapping) while accompanying live guitar and singing.

All classes held at Anda Flamenco School located in the third floor tower of the Ivy Building for the Arts, 2637-27th Ave S, Minneapolis, 55406.
